Made, the oldest daughter in the family, started to help out after school work was done, and slowly changed the Balinese warung into a more suitable eating place for foreigners, without changing the concept and the structure of a warung.
What began in 1969 as a small warung run by Ibu Made’s family in sleepy Kuta has grown into a vibrant hub for locals, travellers, and food lovers from around the world. Still true to its roots, Made’s Warung celebrates the spirit of shared meals, warm welcomes, and authentic flavours.
